A real price for your driveway — and the spec that comes with it.
Get an honest range online, no site visit and no “call for pricing.” Then get a written quote that says exactly what’s going in the ground.
- A real number without a site visit. No form gate, no runaround.
- The spec is on the quote. Base depth, thickness in inches, materials, compaction — in writing.
- Sometimes the answer is $500 of crack fill and seal — and we’ll tell you that.

Seal it, overlay it, or replace it. Here’s how to tell.
Most driveways people think need ripping out don’t. Asphalt fails in a known order, and where yours sits on that line decides whether you spend hundreds or thousands. Find your driveway below.
Sound base, some fading and hairline cracks. It needs crack filling and a sealcoat — not a tear-out. This is the cheap answer, and we’re proud to give it.
Alligator cracking, potholes that come back in the same spot, spots that flex underfoot. That’s a failed base — the one case where replacement is the real answer.
A company that tells you the fix is $500, not $5,000, is a company you can trust with the $5,000 job.

Clean edges, a proper apron, and a road tie-in that won’t be the first thing to fail.
Residential driveways and small commercial lots.
Everything below gets a real price from the instant estimator — no form gate. It asks how big the area is, what’s there now, how the base looks, and how the site drains, and it helps you work out your own square footage instead of assuming you know it.
New asphalt driveway
Never-paved ground, base built from scratch. Single-car, two-car, two-car with turnaround, or long rural runs.
Priced onlineReplacement
Tear out the tired surface and repave. Priced by area, with the new thickness written on the quote.
Priced onlineOverlay / resurfacing
A fresh 1.5–2 in wearing course over a sound base. The mid-tier fix most driveways actually need.
Priced onlineGravel-to-asphalt
The common rural upgrade. Includes the base-prep work gravel-over-dirt always needs first.
Priced onlineSealcoating
Priced by area, on the right interval — not sold to you every single year, and never on green asphalt.
Priced onlineCrack filling
Hot rubberized filling, priced by extent. Often the single cheapest thing that adds years to a driveway.
Priced onlinePothole & patch repair
A surface patch and a proper full-depth cut-and-patch are very different jobs. We price them that way.
Priced onlineBase work
Depth of compacted stone base — heavier when trucks, RVs, or equipment will sit on it. It's the whole ballgame.
Priced onlineDrainage & grading
Pitch correction, trench drains, culverts. In this clay, it's the difference between 20 years and 8.
Priced onlineEdging, aprons & road tie-in
Clean edges and the transition to the street — where most driveway failures actually start.
Priced onlineAccess & site difficulty
Steep grade, tight approach, or a corner the paver and roller can't reach. Priced honestly, not hidden.
Priced onlineSmall commercial lots
Churches, small apartments, storefronts, medical offices — including sealing, striping, and ADA spaces.
Priced onlineIf it’s a driveway or a small lot, the estimator prices it. Bigger and more specialized work is handled by phone — that’s further down the page.
Get a real range in about a minute.
Answer a few plain questions about size, what’s there now, the base, and drainage. You’ll see a price for each honest route — seal, overlay, or replace — so you can compare apples to apples before anyone sets foot on your property.
Instant driveway & lot pricing
This is where the interactive estimator lives. It walks you through your area, current surface, base condition, and drainage, then returns an honest range with the spec attached — the same spec that shows up on your written quote.
A quote without a thickness on it is not a quote.
The reason three quotes all look the same is that each one says “asphalt driveway” and a number — and nothing else. Ours says what’s actually going in the ground. Here’s every line the cheap quote leaves off.
Compacted stone base 6–8 in
Depth of clean, compacted stone — written down. In our clay, the base is what makes a driveway last, and it’s the first thing a cheap crew cuts.
Asphalt thickness 2.5–4 in
Compacted inches of hot mix, stated on the quote. If a competing bid doesn’t list this, you have no idea what you’re buying.
Binder & wearing course
The structural binder layer under the smooth wearing course you see — both named, both state-spec, both from a plant we’ll tell you about.
Proper compaction
Laid and rolled while it’s hot, with a real roller — not tamped by hand and hoped for. Compaction is where thin, cheap jobs quietly fail.
The truck with “leftover material” is a scam. Every time.
Every spring, out-of-area crews knock on doors — often targeting older homeowners — offering a driveway with “leftover hot mix from a job down the road,” cash, today, at a price that seems too good to pass up. It is.
- Nobody legitimate knocks on your door with spare hot mix. Real jobs are scheduled and estimated, not sold off a truck.
- Real hot mix cannot sit in a truck all day and stay workable. What they’re spreading is cold, reheated, or thin — and it fails by the first winter.
- A real contractor gives you a written quote with a thickness on it and doesn’t need cash today.
- They lay a skim over an unprepared base, take the money, and are gone before it proves worthless.
You can check any PA contractor’s registration in about a minute. Every legitimate contractor has a PA Home Improvement Contractor number. Look one up before you hire — including ours, #PA000000. If someone at your door won’t give you a number and a written quote, that’s your answer.
What a real repave actually changes.
One driveway, photographed from the same spot before and after. Not a different house, not a tighter crop — the comparison only means something if the angle matches.

What we don’t price online — and why.
Some work can’t honestly be priced from a web form. It needs eyes on the site, a plan, or a permit. That’s a phone call, not a “get a price” button.
- Large commercial & municipal work
- Milling & full-depth reclamation
- Private roads & shared lanes
- Parking structures
- Sport & tennis courts
- Permeable & specialty surfaces
- Engineered stormwater plans
- PennDOT highway-occupancy access
- Active settlement or subsidence
Got a driveway that’s sinking or settling? That needs a look before anyone quotes a surface. Call — don’t let anyone pave over it.

A written warranty, no door-knocking, no cash-today pricing, and a family name behind the work.
What the online range assumes — and what it can’t see
The price online assumes normal access and reasonable drainage. What’s under your existing surface can’t be seen from a web form. If tear-out reveals a soft or wet base, that changes the base prep — and we confirm and price it on site, with you, before any more work happens. No surprises after the fact.
New asphalt needs a little care. Here’s the honest list.
A new driveway is soft for a while. A few simple habits in the first season are the difference between a surface that lasts and one you scuff up yourself.
- Stay off fresh asphalt for a few days while it cures.
- Skip sharp, hard turns for the first few weeks — they scuff the new surface.
- No kickstands, jack stands, or trailer jacks on it during the first hot summer; they'll dent it.
- Pull all the way in and out rather than parking in the same inch every day.
Paving is bound by physics, not sales pressure.
Hot mix has to be laid and compacted while it’s hot, which means roughly April through October and air temperatures comfortably above 50°F. Sealcoating is narrower still — it needs warm, dry weather and a real cure window.
Northeastern PA is hard on asphalt: water gets into a hairline crack, freezes, and widens it — dozens of times a winter, not once. That freeze-thaw cycle, heavy salt, and wet clay subsoil are why driveways here fail early. The short season is a real reason to plan ahead — book before the calendar closes, not because we said “act now.”
Three steps. No pressure at any of them.
